    Hi There!
I’ve been following your blog for a few months, which I love, and my daughter gave me your cookbook for Jul!
Last night I made Norwegian meatballs with creamed cabbage. This is a meal my mother would make, and it tasted and felt so good! Of course I could have used my mom’s recipe, but there really isn’t a recipe. She just makes kjottkaker and creamed cabbage on her own. I like to follow a recipe, even if I make some modifications. Anyway…I loved it and will make again. My son lives near by, and I left some food for him. I asked how it tasted and he said “amazing”. So, there you have! My 28 year old son loved the meal I created using the recipes from your beautiful cookbook!! Can’t wait to make the fish cakes. I’ve been craving them too. We used to get them from a Norwegian deli in Brooklyn, but it has since closed. There was nothing like them when my mom would come back from Brooklyn with fresh fish cakes. For those who are not Norwegian, it may seem a little odd, but we know how good they are, especially when they’re right out of the pan. Thanks again!

Hi Debra! This makes me so happy to hear! There is something so special about dishes getting passed down through the generations, so thank you for sharing this with your son! I hope you enjoy the fish cakes just as much as the meatballs and creamed cabbage 🙂
